The purpose of this section is to give a short description of the Land Rover Defender 90 NAS and to document various projects that I will undertake for the benefit of other D90 owners. Enjoy!

I took posession of this black '94 Defender 90 in 2002. Land Rover made only 6522 NAS (North American Specification) Defender 90s in '94, '95, and '97*. Interestingly enough, this short production run makes the NAS Defender rarer than the DeLorean! .

There were only 100 black Defenders made in 1994 and Land Rover labeled them as a "limited edition." Besides being black, there was only one more feature to the 1994 LE D90, but it was a good one: a black leather interior (as opposed to the gray vinyl or cloth found in other Defenders).

It's in good shape, so it doesn't see much of the off-road action it was designed to handle.

Projects

No Defender is complete without a few projects. And being a near-stock 1994 model, this one has plenty of opportunities for upgrades. My goal is to provide some insight to any other D90 owner who might be considering any of these projects.
