Defender 90 Safari Gard Tire Carrier

After my stock tire carrier frame got damaged by a run in with a Jeep, I decided to take the opportunity (and the money) to upgrade to the Safari Gard tire carrier. I got my carrier a few weeks after ordering and anxiously awaited a chance to get it installed. Here it goes:

The SG carrier comes very well packaged, which is good, especially since it comes via an LTL carrier.

Fast forward a while and it's now on the Defender! This example is using the stock rear bumper and stock tire size, a combination that is somewhat rare with this carrier.

That shelf is designed for jerry cans, but is certainly handy for much more than that. I just use it for a place to put stuff while I rummage around the back. I also bike a lot and it's a great place to put random items while preparing the bike.
